It was about 6 hours later when Jarvis came back online. He had sat completely still all night, plugged into the wall and slowly recharging his inner batteries. The rest of him was in standby mode, almost a pause of sorts.

The charging sequence completed and Jarvis found himself alone. At first, he did not know what to make of it. Hadn't he been talking with Cynric just a moment ago? But no, the soft light starting to penetrate the misty gloom on the windows said it was close to morning. Time had passed and he had not been aware of it.

Jarvis thinks on this revelation for a half second longer before abandoning it as another experience to be observed closer at a later date. He carefully inspected the wires running from the wall that ended somewhere behind his head. His battery could not store any more charge, so the logical thing was to remove the plug. He reaches back and does so, finding a flap that closes up the spot, hiding it from plain sight.

It was slowly getting brighter, much like it had been getting darker before. Jarvis slides off the table, re-practicing the art of walking. There's a door into the rest of the house. His curiosity overriding his programming to stay where he was told to, Jarvis opens the door and steps into the main room. Just looking around...

Observing what a home is to look like. Cynric probably isn't even up yet.

It will take a while to figure out what's got Jarvis confused. Now is still far too tired, too rattled, too much trying to get his head back on straight as he scrubs fingers through his hair.

Up is up, he supposes. Throwing off the light blanket, he waves for the mechanical man to move out of the way so he can find where he's thrown his shirt.

"Gently. Tap on the shoulder, maybe."

"Th-- 70 minutes ago?"

Well. That wakes a man up quite a bit. His fingers pause in the pulling down of his shirt, contemplate whether or not it would be the most ridiculously disconcerting thing in the world if the mechanical man had been watching him for seventy minutes.

"...what in the world did you do, then?"

"...arran--"

There will be more discussion of how to give a quick summary later. Cynric has to scramble to see--

Ridiculous ridiculous neatness.

"Why, Jarvis?"

Right and wrong. Did they go over that already? Was that part of the mindset of settling into artificial intelligence?

Heady things. Important intellectual things. Not things Cynric is prepared to ponder this soon after waking up.

"--no, it's-- not wrong. Just-- impolite. Have we-- politeness?"

"Being uncivil and boorish." Defining words with other words, he knows, but it's the best he has as he starts poking and prodding through things to find where everything's been 'sorted' away in drawers. "Doing things that-- frustrate other people without any regard for how it might cause them to feel."

"I do."

He spins back to face the other with frustration absolutely writ large on his features.

"You've-- moved all my things. I had a-- system!"

Sort of. Possibly a lie.

It's... a sweet sort of compunction for fixing a mistake. His scowl stays firmly in place, although the corners of his lips weaken slightly.

"Well-- no. Not at this point. Just-- ask, Jarvis, if you want to-- do something like this."

"Cheers." Maybe neat will be better, anyway. Maybe it will stop people from turning around when they come to see his work.

...his work.

"You didn't-- do this in the shop, did you?"

...why no notif for this, DW. D:

Alas, being a person is both incredibly complicated and unnecessarily stressful. There's no escaping it. It's simply the way of things.

"...no. That's-- fine. Just... promise you'll not touch anything in there, luv, aye?"

"Thank you, Jarvis."

Not quite the way he'd meant to start the day. Why hadn't he programmed this one for making breakfast rather than this lovely proper learning-curve algorithm he seemed to have struck on.

"Show me where you've hidden my shirts, then."

[ooc; Sure! Did you have something in mind?]
